Ariel Barbosa is a native of Baltimore and a graduate of Eastern Mennonite University (EMU), through which she majored in Sociology and Theology and studied abroad in India and South Africa. Ariel is a CollegeBound Baltimore Ravens Foundation Scholar and Yoder Scholar through EMU’s Honors Program. Through these opportunities, Ariel served as a collegiate soccer player, tour guide for her university, and co-president of Latino Student Alliance, celebratory of her Afro-Brazilian identity. Ariel has recently joined the Johns Hopkins Economic Development team and is very energized by her work with HEAT Corps.
